Whiskey Lullaby had been lost in the woods for what seemed to be at least four weeks now. Where in the world was she? Her pistons carried her and carried her everyday until she dropped from exhaustion. She ate on the run grabbing what ever she could catch. Sometimes she had mouse, doe, rabbit, skunk and of course grass when she could find nothing else. She slept underneath bushes and tree , one time even in a water fall. She did what she had to do just to survive. There had to be an end of the woods somewhere, right? Her paws were badly cut and her beautiful blue merle fur was covered in dirt, tree sap, burs and what ever else you found in this wooded waste land. Her nose was also covered in scratches from picker bushes she had to cross through to get out of the dense under bush. She had seen a lot of things that she did not want too, like mating bears and big cats who would chase her and try to kill her. Her bodice was constantly shaking and twitching at every breaking branch. She had to get out of here or she was going to go bat crazy. Whiskey stopped slowly to rest and drink out of a muddy puddle she had found, she pondered about how her life could be. She could have a mate and puppies, maybe even friends! That is what gave her the hope to go on, to keep her head high. Her life could not bad the entire time she was alive, could it? She had to move on, had to better her life her self because no one else was going to do it for her. This would be here new start even if she never got out of these stupid dark woods. She just had to keep that in her head, she knew sometimes she would never believe it. It has to get better though. Whiskey's pistons started moving on, she could not stay in more than one place. There were way to many predators who could find her by her scent if she stopped to long. She had always be careful about the big cats in these woods. They knew she was here and they found her, she would not stand a chance. She would be ripped apart in minutes and she was sure of it. This was another reason she had to get out of her for good. These woods brought the worse out of everything, even the scary arched looking trees. Whiskeys paws kept carrying her farther and father, suddenly she stopped. Was this what she thought it was? Sometime of rocky path feeding into a deserted looking alley way. Slowly her pistons carried her through, every step she was cautious as if something was going to jump out at her. At the end of the alley way was a street, she had been on a street once, she had nearly been killed by a huge metal beast. It was so loud and made strange noise at her. Whiskey ran and ran and ran and that is how she ended up in the woods. Slowly she made her way into a place she had never seen before, it was surreal to her, there were big huge things that swung in the wind and it smelled of human baby's. She stopped at sat down just daydreaming about living here. She decided she would rest for awhile and laid her bodice down and just kept looking around. Perhaps she would find a friend here. She could smell canines around but did not say any and she was not about to go looking. Attachments:

He stood at the top of a grassy hill. His fur, flowing like the whistling wind. His eyes, scanning the area below. His ears, listening to the slow, steady creak of the old swings, the traces of human long since dissipated. It had been a day, maybe two, since the pink-skinned Humans had come with their kin to play with the great Steel playthings, the swings, and the shiny slide.
Two Days, since he had found the edge of the forest that was in the Park. Prospect Park, as the big green sign said. Renegade did not know how, nor why, he could read. He just could. Ever Since he was a pup, reading the old, rusty cans in the Bronx Bullions Alleyway Camp, to reading big Signs. That’s how he knew he was in Brooklyn, Kings, New York.
In this Forested area, he found his own playthings. Little, white balls, with divots in them. He had a whole lot of those, kept hidden in the cave in the old Oak tree. He had slept there, last night, under the stars, alone. Guilt twinged in his heart. He had left his parents, his pack, his City. The Bronx, the Bronx Bullions. His Dad, Spartan, and his brother, Toruque. Most of all, he left his Mama. The looks on her face portayed terror, shock, anguish. She was proud of him, and he had let her down.
“For what? I had freedom, a life of luxury, and I left it.”
He mumbled to himself, before halting his surveillance. A Dog! He thought.
He barked loudly, before barreling towards it like a steam engine; whatever that was.

Whiskey Lullaby's hair stood up on end, something was coming. All thought she did not know what it was. She slowly rose off the ground and perked her ears slowly, sniffing the air for clues. She was very keen because she had to keep her self safe. Slowly Whiskey turned in the opposite direction, then saw it. A huge dog running towards, she froze immediately. What in the hell was this dog doing? She could not tell if he was friendly or mean, all she knew is he was running at her. Her flight instinct took over. Off she went.
Whiskey ran as fast as her paws would carry her, turning her head back every now and then to check if he was still following her. Yes, he was, keep going she thought. Suddenly something took whiskey off her feet, she knew he could not have caught on her that fast. Whiskey laid on her side dazed and confused, what the hell just happened? Whiskey's blue orbs could not focus instead the world danced around here, this never happened to her before.
After a minute a two Whiskeys vision returned, still laying on her side, she figured out what had attacked her. A few inches in front of her was a large steel seat looking thing, she thought they were called benches but could not be sure. Anyways one attacked her. Whiskey looked towards the huge dog that was chasing here and sighed. She was dead meat not. What was he going to do with her? A friend she use to have told her a story she could not believe
Once time her friend Ruby was feeling weird and noticed her privates were swollen and sore. She did not think anything of it but all kinds of male dogs started following her around and stalking her. She tried to keep away from them , eventually when she was trying to sleep a huge male that looked like a moose woke her up and told her if she did not what she asked he would tear out her juglar vein, Of course she did not want to do it but she did not want to be killed either. So she did what he ask her, well she said that it was murderous feeling, what had happen.
He made her stand up and mated with her and it hurt! She cried and cried until probably like 20 minutes and then the male just left and said thanks. Eventually she felt her self getting heavier and heavier and one day awhile after, she had puppies and that hurt too. Unfortuntaely her puppies never woke up after they were born and this hurt her terribley. Whiskey was starting to go through what her friend Ruby was, let us hope this male was not like that.
Whiskey suddenly jumped up of the ground as fast as she could. She faced towards the male and growled loudly. Whiskey was a small little thing, only about thirty pounds but she had to try and defend her self. Her tailed tucked in and she crouched down into a fighting position. Her icy blue orbs stared at the male and bared her teeth. She then said What do you want ? Get away from me. Whiskey was ready to try and shred this male if she had to, all though she knew she stood no chance.
OOC: like I said in chat, do what ever you want, does not matter to me!

Renegade heard the plea of the collie, Blue Merle in color, and he slowed his gait. When the hulking male had decelerated to a walk, He spoke, loudly and clearly. “I do not wish to hurt you, only to help you. You must be tired, doll. I know my way around this park, so I know if you keep running you’ll be doing it for days.” [/b] He paused, checking for the female to respond, either physically, or verbally. “I can show you a place to stay, even if just for a night. I've got a week’s worth of food, maybe more, and the stream runs clear and fresh each day.” [/b] Renegade slowed to a stop, and looked more closely at her. Blue Merle, the coat color seemed to suit her so well. It complemented her eyes, and flowed with her voice. Now, she wasn’t a gorgeous dog, but she wasn’t ugly either. Pretty. That is what this Blue Merle dog was. Pretty. Very Pretty, indeed. So, he resumed talking. “It takes days, even a week, to cross this fairway at your pace. Plus, avoiding the humans on their carts is not easy. They would take you straight to the pound if they say you. So, please come back with me, Miss…” [/b] He searched for the pretty dog’s name. What name could accompany that marvelous coat???

Whiskey Lullaby's head cocked to the side, what was the male doing? Why was he being so nice? Surely, he was just trying to trick her into his lands and then do something horrible to her. Still, she had to go she could not avoid cars and human who could hurt her or possible kill her. Whiskeys stood up out of her crouching position and slowly wagged her tail back and forth.
Whiskey looked into the males eyes but could tell his intentions. Slowly she trotted up to him and sat In from him. Her lips parted and said slowly and shyly said I will accept your kind actions towards me and go with you. My name is Whiskey Lullaby by the way. What is yours? What is the pound? I have never heard of that word. [b/] Whiskey waited for the male to reply.
Whiskey could not believe this male was being so nice, did he not know she was a lowly sub of packs? Would he care if he knew? She pondered about a new life here, maybe this was her new start. She could have a mate and puppies, also being happy would be great. Whiskey would be a great mother and she knew it.
Looking over the male, she noticed his breed. He must be a rottie, he was black and tan, right? Either that or Dobie. But, she did not exactly know. He was quite handsome though. She wondered what her puppies would like with this male.
OOC: sorry for the shortness, I feel blah today.

Renegade pondered her words for a moment. Whiskey Lullaby, you say? May I call you Lullaby, darling?” [/b] He said with a slight flirtatious tone to his bark. ”I really am no good with names. Heck, I needed to nickname myself. By the way, name’s Renegade. Please call me Ren. There, we’ve officially met.” [/b] His tail, little, wimpy thing, wagged as he barked. Lullaby. That name suits her. Whiskey though, not so much. He did not see her as a liquid, on the nasty smelling bottle labels. Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey. Foul smelling stuff. No, she’s definitely not whiskey. “Fore!” A human shouted. Then a revving noise started. Renegade looked up, startled, and howled to Whiskey Lullaby. “Over here, duck down!” [/b]He hid behind one of the large pines. Why did he follow her? He could have been safe, by the Old Oak, but he had followed her. The Fairway was a very dangerous place. It was big, flat; expanse sparse of vegetation. It was luck that the tall pine was here. He, she, they; could have been caught. They could have both gone to the pound. Ren ducked into a crevice where a small brook ran. They could stealthily run back to the camp along this stream’s path. He motioned for the Blue Merle to come down to him. Maybe, just maybe, she was worth it.

Whiskey watched the male as he spoke to her. She perked her ears and said You may call me what ever you wish, sir. [b/]. Her tones were soft and considerate. She wagged her tail gently as he spoke to her again, did he really just call her darling. Wow, that word made her feel good about her self. She nodded as he spoke about meeting her. She did feel like speaking again at this moment. Her social skills kind of lacked in all areas, complete failure on here part.
Whiskey's past haunted her all the time. She really had to socialization and that is why she had such poor skills. Whiskey wished was normal like other dogs. Maybe, just maybe she could be one day, like those other females who had female dogs running to them muzzle and paw. She actually would settle with being her self, with a tiny bit of change where she was and had a mate. She could think about the future for ever literally. Whiskey was a dreamer and she was sure she would always be that way.
Whiskey wagged her tail once more and was getting ready to speak to Ren once again, that was unril. He scared the crap out or her, she fell down in fear until he told her to run over. He was not trying to be mean, he was trying to save her. Why on earth would he do this? Was she falling in love with him after only meeting him this one time. Her friend told her this could happened when you found the right male or female in her case. The male breeding her and losing her puppies, changed her friend to becoming gay, as the humans said. Could you blame her? She lost the only thing she had left, her innocence.
Whiskey's paws carried her towards Ren as fast as she could, which was pretty fast, seeing as she was a border collie. They were used for herding sheep, well not here but her parents were before they left the farm because of mistreatment. Whiskey ducked down underneath the pine tree as Ren did and slowly laid down as flat as she possibly could. Whiskey then followed Ren through the stream. Here was to a new life, she figured! She followed Ren contently.

Renegade and perhaps Lullaby too, passed familiar landmarks; the bent over elm, the place where the river bent, and finally, the Ancient Oak. It was as big as five of him on top of each other, and as wide as three of him standing from head to tail .He liked it because it sort of signified the balance in this thick area of Forest. Balance between land and water, dark and light, proven by the patches where sunlight filtered in; and balance between autumn and winter. The leaves had all turned orange, red, and yellow; and some had fallen off, but as soon as they fell off, new ones seemed to grow in their place. Regardless, there was a place by the stream where the soil had eroded, leaving a nice little cove, where he slept the night before. It was stuffed with bird down, from the three he reluctantly ate for dinner. In Storage, which was another nook in the massive oak tree, lay five more. Ren pulled one out, and laid it in the cove, and motioned for Lullaby to come in. He brushed up against her softly, and barked: “So, Darling, you rest up, and I will tell you some things. About Pounds, and about this place. This stream, for example, runs throughout most of the Park. This stream will lead you back here if you get lost. Hope it helps. And, feel free to wander, but not to the Fairways. They are very dangerous.” [/b] He knew he sounded more like a demanding father, but Ren couldn’tr bear it if anything happened to Whiskey Lullaby.

Whiskey followed Ren as close as she could so she wouldnt get lost. She wagged her tail happly as she followed him. She noticed the bent over the elm tree, thee river bend and, the oak tree. She stopped and stared at their great beauty, she had never seen something so pretty. The elm tree was huge, never had she seen something so big, it was awesome to her. She was glad she was with Ren.
The colors were amazing to her, the forest she was in surly did not have so much pretty colors. The sunlight lite up the branches of threes and went into the leaves, they looked projected to her. It was so stunning she nearly walked into a huge rock in her way. Whiskey was extremely clumsy and im sure the male would pick up on this shortly.
Whiskey ran to be closer to her new friend, she was hoping he would ask her to be mate eventually. Only he could ask she would not. She wanted puppies as soon as possible if it worked out for them. She wanted to have lots of them. So she could be surrounded by her family, the family she never really had. Whiskey silently followed Ren as they past the oak tree, she slowed down and looked around for a second making sure it was not a trap.
Whiskey finally went on to where Ren wanted her to lay, slowly she laid on the soft bird feathers and laid down her head and listened to the words that ran so softly from his mouth. The wording sounded like something a father would say to his puppy. Whiskey perked her ears up for a second and said I am awfully tired from all this running around we've been doing, its been the best day of my life. I have never met anyone who has treated me as a equal and I thank you for that. I will not stray from you ever. /b]. Whiskey got up one more time to do something but she accidentally stumbled and when she got back up her nose landed right on Ren's. She shied away to a corner as fast she could, she was very embarrassed. Whining in the darkness she sighed.

Renegade did not tease Lullaby. He gave a warm grin, a slight chuckle, and barked warmly: “We all fall down sometimes. And what do we learn from falling down, how to pick ourselves up. And when we get up, it will make us stronger.” [/b] He tried herding her back in, saying: ”Lullaby, you may rest, and I will guard the camp. I apologize if I scared you, running toward you like that, earlier. I am foolhardy and blithe. I shall be up on that branch, after I get a bird for myself; if you need me. [/b] He grabbed a bird from within the crook. There were only three left. Between the two of them, it was a day’s rations. I need to hunt, soon. Maybe I can teach Lullaby, too. Renegade leapt up onto the branch he had pointed to, and curled up. Tomorrow, they would go exploring, maybe even into the city. There were fat pigeons that were sluggish and slow, an easy catch and filling, too. But, he would need to get a collar for Lullaby. And, he would need to find a romantic spot for them. Tomorrow, he would confess how much he liked her. He wanted now what he didn't ever care about before, when he was young and restless. L-O-V-E. Find out what it means to me.

Whiskey's ears straightened out of her their scared position has Ren spoke to her. She was sure he was going to yell at her for making a mistake like the others in her passed had done. She smiled as he spoke to her in such warm and accepting tones. Slowly she rose from her position as he attempted to get her back to where he wanted. She rubbed against warmly and barked playfully.
She then followed Ren back to her spot, she layed down in her bed and sigh as he spoke to her. She just could not believe how nice he was. Were other males like this too. She swore she had already fallen in love with him, surely that could not be normal. Ren rested her head between her paws and then said You did not really scare me, I guess I scared me. I have not had the best life and I am pretty much afraid of everything and everyone, I am hoping to overcome this but I just do not know. I have never been shown this level on affection. I hope one day to have a mate and have puppies and be happy. I shall rest now I suppose, as long as I know you are looking out for me. . Her tones were soft and sweet.
She then closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep. It must have been at least 6 hours later when Whiskey woke up from her nap. She did not exactly remember where she was, she got up quickly and ran around before she remembered that Ren was here with her somewhere. She whined softly, where did he go ? She sat down quietly and waited for his return.

Renegade sat up, and leapt down from the branch. He trotted over to Lullaby, quietly, as so not to disturb her. Seeing that she was seemingly awake, he whispered: ”Lullaby, I want to take you into the city today. But we must do one thing first. We must find you a collar. If you don’t have one, anybody can take you away…” [/b] He wanted to say from me… , but he didn’t. She was very special, but his undying feelings, to love her, would need to be revealed in a more, refined, romantic place. So, he crossed the stream, barked for her to follow, and walked onto the sidewalk. He looked down, at the sorry excuse for pavement, just stones cast over mud, no concrete or anything. Renegade gazed down the long, charcoal colored road, looking even more menacing with the clouds, looming over their heads. Vroooooooommmmmm! And, there were the cars. Lullaby and he would need to go together, timing it to the precise second. They could get better at this, but with the clouds angrily threatening a storm, they would need to find the first dog he met coming here,, just the dog who would know these places. OOC: I would like to invite one more dog, who is a more street friendly dog, who knows their way around.

Whiskey's blue orbs scanned around the cavern until Ren came back. As he returned she stood up and wagged her tail in happiness. She really did not think he was going to come. But, guess what? He had come back for her, he must like her. Whiskey rubbbed against him like at a happy cat would. She like this male a lot.
Whiskey watched Ren as he spoke to her. Whiskey already thought she was in the city, there was people around already. Not many but some of them. Whiskey cocked her head sides ways and thought how much worse could this place get. She did not know if she could live with people and other dogs. She slowly gazed down at that ground, guess she would had to try to co-exist and if she could not she would slip away in the night when no one was around.
Whiskey heard him mention a collar, she of course had heard of those but never owned on of her own. By way did she need to a collar before, did the collar keep people away? That was the only thing she could think of. Whiskey did not speak to him this time as there was no reason to. She would follow him until the world's end. I guess, it was border collie persona of go go go and being loyal, but bringing her into the city may be pushing it.
Whiskey trailed along him as he crossed the stream steadly. She stopped and gazed down at the water, seeing her reflection, the beauty she knew she had with in was jusy amazing. Ren brought that out not her. When Ren barked to her she picked up her pace and walked threw the dirt onto the side walk. She shivered as a metal beast went down the road.
Whiskey waited for Ren to cross she would stay at his side, she knew it was dangerous. Slowly they crossed together just in time for huge truck to go down the road but they had made It safely. Whiskey sat on her haunches waiting for more instructions. She was wandering what would happen next. Ren lived an interesting conflicted life and she would have to keep up with it.
